Every year in September the North Norfolk Railway, known locally as 'The Poppy Line', holds a '40's Weekend'.
This is a wonderful occasion when people dress in 1940's fashions and uniforms, meet old friends - some of whom travel from all over Europe to attend, and ride the steam trains from Holt to Sheringham via Weybourne while having a thoroughly good time.
It is one of the best attended 'memorabilia' events in the UK and the celebrations begin early on the Saturday morning running through until Sunday evening.
There are special events held at each station and on the trains where even wartime 'spivs' have been known to ply their 'trade'.
These are a few pics from that weekend.

Stories of a devasting fire in Devon, the Wells 'Lifeboat Horse' and a visit to London's 'Winter Wonderland' are the first three. Watch out for more to come . . .
